Job Title: Production Manager

Reports To: Operations Manager

Summary:

Directs and manages all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, quality, and other production-related activities. The Production manager must show accountability, share innovative ideas, be proactive in all aspects and have a sense of urgency. This position plays a significant role in driving continuous process improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. This position requires strong leadership and organizational skills. Salary depends on experience and qualifications

Essential Functions:

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day workflow of production staff.
  • Manage and evaluate performance of production staff.
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees as needed in accordance with company policy.
  • Oversee the production process to ensure delivery of high-quality products that meet customer’s needs.
  • Ensure quality of materials entering and exiting the production line meet Enercept’s quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Ensure appropriate production rate to reduce delivery delays.
  • Collaborate with the sales, project management, and drafting departments to identify and resolve quality concerns.
  • Identify bottlenecks or delays in production; ensures necessary labor, materials, and other resources are available to relieve production bottlenecks and delays.
  • Investigate production issues and develop resolutions.
  • Identify issues through continuous process improvements.
  • Use production planning and scheduling to limit materials shortages.
  • Ensure production machinery complies with professional and safety standards.
  • Schedule maintenance and repair of machines used in production process to avoid downtime or delays.
  • Operate at maximum potential to ensure on-time production delivery.
  • Monitor production activities and adjust schedules for on-time delivery.
  • Attend all company required trainings.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Job Specific Competencies and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED, minimum of 5 years of construction and manufacturing experience, and previous supervisory/management experience. Knowledge of budgets, process improvement programs, and procedures required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs. at a time.
