About the Role

The Temporary Property Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and performance of an assigned portfolio of residential rental properties. This role plays a key part in maintaining occupancy, supporting resident satisfaction, and ensuring operational consistency during a leave of absence.

This is a full-time temporary assignment expected to run through September 30, 2026. Based on business needs and performance, there may be opportunity for extension or transition into a regular full-time role.

This position requires strong organization, consistent follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accurate documentation and clear communication.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage an assigned portfolio of residential properties, supporting occupancy, resident satisfaction, and overall performance
  • Execute leasing activities including property tours, applications, lease preparation, and renewals
  • Manage marketing efforts, listing updates, and lead tracking to support occupancy goals
  • Maintain strong conversion practices from inquiry to lease
  • Support resident retention through renewals and engagement
  • Maintain accurate lease files, resident records, and property data
  • Process applications, leases, and documentation in alignment with company standards and timelines
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain compliance with company policies
  • Manage vacancy workflows, including move-ins, move-outs, and turnover coordination
  • Coordinate with internal teams to support timely unit readiness
  • Provide responsive, professional communication to residents and property owners
  • Address concerns and service requests with a solution-oriented approach
  • Maintain consistent communication, documentation, and follow-up across all responsibilities

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in property management preferred
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities
  • Consistent follow-through and accountability in completing tasks and responsibilities
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and processes
  • Ability to problem-solve and exercise sound judgment
  • Service-oriented mindset with a focus on resident and owner experience
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software (AppFolio preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check
